Frequently asked questions

Is my appointment confirmed when I submit the form?

No. Submitting sends a request. We review the job and the travel time, then email you to confirm, decline or suggest another time.

How is the price decided?

Hourly work is $100 for the first hour (minimum) and $75 for each additional hour. Many common jobs have a fixed-price estimate instead. The rate depends on when the visit starts: a visit that starts during standard hours (Mon–Fri, 9 AM–6 PM) stays at the standard rate even if it finishes later.

Do evenings or weekends cost more?

Visits that start on weekday evenings (from 6 PM) or early mornings (before 9 AM), on weekends or on BC statutory holidays use a 1.5× rate, including fixed-price estimates. Evenings (from 6 PM) on BC statutory holidays are charged at 2×. You always see this before you submit.

Are materials included?

No. Materials, disposal and parking are separate unless your quote says otherwise. If the job turns out bigger than described, we agree on a revised price with you before doing extra work.

Is there a cancellation fee?

No. There are currently no cancellation fees. Please let us know as early as you can.

Can I send photos?

Yes. You can attach up to three photos to help us estimate accurately. They are stored privately and deleted about 30 days after the job.

Do you do plumbing or electrical work?

Not at this time. We do not offer work that requires a licence or permit in British Columbia.
